About Keith Burk

In 1976, I began studying music performance on saxophone at a small college in Michigan. During that time, a course was offered in January of 1978: "Piano tuning and repair." That's when I began tuning pianos and doing repairs everywhere I could. After the class, I assisted the instructor with installing after-market player piano units. That following summer in 1978, I worked for a large (now out of business) music company in the Detroit area called "Grinnell Brothers." For that summer, I tuned pianos in the showrooms at stores, did warranty tunings (tunings that the company would give their customers who bought pianos from them), and did private piano work. I have been tuning and repairing pianos ever since.
